A286 (AMS 5737, AMS 5726, AMS 5731, AMS 5732) è una lega induribile a precipitazione. Il livello elevato di nichel e cromo gli conferisce una buona resistenza alla corrosione fino a circa 1300 ° C e l’ossidazione fino a circa 1500 ° F. A286 può essere sottoposto a invecchiamento con un livello di resistenza elevato. La lega viene anche utilizzata per applicazioni a bassa temperatura che richiedono un materiale ad alta resistenza duttile e non magnetico a temperature che vanno dalla temperatura ambiente superiore ad almeno -320 ° F. La lega può essere utilizzata per applicazioni moderate di corrosione in soluzioni acquose.
